Posted by Monica Tailor, 27 May 2009
The second Leeds web festival is well under way and this week sees a whole heap of events to bring it to a climax. If you haven't already booked you might be lucky and be able to snap up some last minute tickets.
Events that have already past included OpenCoffee {May} and the Innovation Showcase.
Those coming up this week (where you're likely to bump into us) are:
Leeds Girl Geek Dinners – On Wednesday 27th May. This is the fourth Girl Geek Dinner in Leeds and has two fantastic speakers, Reshma Sohoni of Seedcamp and Jennifer O'Grady of Democracy PR.
Future of Web Apps Tour – For the first time ever, the Carsonified team are going on tour and visiting Leeds.
Physical Computing 101 – On Friday 29th May Tinker.it! are bringing a Beginners Guide to Arduino to Old Broadcasting House.
BarCamp – The week culminates in the city's third BarCamp. BarCamp is an unconference where the attendees create the sessions. It going to be held at Old Broadcasting House and we've got our presentations taking shape for Saturday and Sunday.
Cupcake Camp runs alongside Barcamp so expect lots of sponge and icing fun among the barcampers.
LSx 2009 ends with Exposure Leeds next Wednesday 3rd June.
